Get to know White Rabbit’s CEO, Jennifer (Jen) Greene

Hubs and I are HUGE Husky ❤️ lovers….

My husband, Richard, and I are huge Husky lovers!  As I am also a business owner of (2) additional businesses…..I had a little fun getting my personal life & one of my businesses put together.  And I had to involve several of my babies…..(7) of our (9) Huskies.

We’ve managed to adopt from all over the country….and have begun adopting senior Huskies, with several coming all the way from California.  We didn’t plan on having such a large pack, but we’ve just felt that the ones we did adopt were mostly Special Needs and/or Senior Huskies.  Our deaf (14) yr old Malamute, Apollo, who we adopted in September 2025 & our (13) yr old blind Husky, Lily, adopted in November 2022….they are the most precious to us!  Through no fault of their own, they fell into dire straights and we were fortunate enough to get them safely brought across the country before the unthinkable happened!  We’ve adopted (2) locally, (5) from CA, (1) from GA, (1) from AL, (1) from CO, (1) from MO, and (2) from TX.

We are firm believers & practice “Adopt, Don’t Shop” and will continue on this way, adding to our pack, when God places another Senior Husky in our path.  Often overlooked at most shelters, they are the ones who find their way to us, and we know when the right ones come.  It’s always been a clear choice….there are too many Huskies in shelters that need saving…..and will Not purchase from a Husky breeder.  It is our belief that the ones left without a home, need more help to gain a home, than a professionally bred Husky.  Beautiful they most certainly are, but just not for us ❤️.

We lost two of our CA boys in 2025 and miss them terribly.  Too young to go…:just (9) & (10) yrs old and neither were sick a day since we adopted them.  Those are the hard ones….no signs or symptoms to give us any warning.  Both the picture of health….

I don’t think I could ever come home to an empty house…we also boast (1) senior Aussie and (2) kitties.  Mama loves ❤️ a full house 🏠!!

Here’s a few of our babies….

(6) of these (7) kiddos are still with us now.  We lost our pack leader, Kodi, on the far left, out of nowhere in early Nov. 2023.  Sudden and devastating, as he was just (9) yrs. old.

The rest of those knuckleheads are still here, as of February 2026.

And a few more….

These past (3) years, we’ve adopted a beautiful red klutzy tripod, Miss Ruby Ru from CO…..she is in the photo of the (7) on the hill….on the far right.

We also adopted a Senior blind Husky, Lily, the week of Thanksgiving in 2022….in the next photo….sitting pretty on the sofa.  Ruby is going on (8) yrs. old and Lily is going to be (13) yrs. old this year.  miss Lily came to us all the way from Long Beach, CA …..and she is by far, the most satisfying adoption to date!  She was neglected for the first (9) years of her life, and never knew much love or attention.  She was left outside her whole life, went blind when it could have been prevented and bounced around to family members. When one member would get tired of her, they’d ship her off to the next family member.  Here, she is free to sleep or lounge on the furniture or beds, is the silliest girl ever, and cannot sing on key 😝!!!  While all (9) are howling, she is screaming like a human child.  Her voice is distinct…you can pick her out easily!

Our second adoption from CA, May 2024.

Luka joined our family in early May of 2024, and was our third adoption through Shadow Husky Rescue in CA.  Beautiful, supposedly not a talker, very polite boy who took (19) mos. to realize he wasn’t going anywhere!  His personality was flipped on, just like a light switch, this past February.  No more did we see the “do as others in the pack do” and keep your lead down and don’t get noticed.  This boy has turned into quite the talker, shows his excitement, especially romping around out in the back yard….and coming and ‘asking’ for attention and freely giving us some, in return.  We don’t know what did it, but we are so happy to finally get to see this boy’s goofiness, stubbornness in minding his Papa, and finally playing with his selected playmates!  Mama is the overall pack leader…who goes and gets stubborn kiddos when they don’t want to mind their Papa!   And when Papa gets exasperated that he will not come in and tells me to go get him, Mama just has to appear in the doorway and he runs in lickity split!  Irritates his Papa, but hey….somebody has to be the leader…..did you ever really have a doubt as to who that was..? 😂😂

Luka left us suddenly, early in the morning, on Dec. 15, 2025.  He was Papa’s boy, and waited for Papa to get in from work to say goodbye.  No warning, no comprehension of how a healthy dog who ate & drank as usual, the night before, was just gone shortly after dawn, in his Papa’s arms 😢.

Our third adoption from CA on Sept. 7, 2025

Meet another very satisfying Senior Malamute adoption, this is (13) yr old Apollo, who is deaf.  We weren’t certain of it until he arrived in TN, but it honestly made no difference to us!  We loved him right from the second we saw his plea post on Facebook, from a volunteer at a kill shelter in Los Angeles.  He was on his third red notice (last one before euthanizing), and we scrambled to find a foster, so our fave Husky rescue, Shadow Husky Rescue, could spring him on the very last day!  They snatched him on the evening before he was to leave this world, on a Sunday evening, and we have loved this boy fiercely, since he arrived!

Apollo and Lily have become what our household is all about now….almost completely filled with seniors that are so often overlooked in shelters.  They are both the sweetest and happiest dogs….couldn’t imagine life here without them in it ❤️!
